Is it easy to make friends with locals here? Are there any prejudices or any ethnic groups who might feel uncomfortable here?
Machismo culture does exist here among Armenian men, and there may be a subconscious bias that men need to behave according to that characterization. That being said, people are friendly and it may be easier for those of lighter skin color to connect with locals. It seems that those of darker skin color do get stared at more. - Jul 2026
