Are local buses, trams, trains or taxis safe and affordable?

Your employer will probably tell you to stay away from all of them, as general road safety and theft are definite issues. I’d say that taxis are fine for trips around the city, but some of them are literally falling apart, so use your head and don’t get in a bad car.
