Do you feel that it is safe to walk, run or hike outside? Are there areas where bike riding is possible? What is the availability and safety of outdoor space for exercising? Are these easily accessible?
Completely safe to do anything alone, but be cautious of cars. Malta is completely car-dominated, mostly without bike lanes, and often with crumbling or non-existant sidwalks. Hikes are really enjoyable here, especially in the spring when the whole island turns green. Gozo is delightful for any outdoor activities. - Sep 2025
