Mosquitoes. As soon as the ground thaws they are everywhere. According to the embassy medical unit there is no danger of malaria. But I swear the mosquitoes here have teeth. OFF is carried locally. Antihistamine ointment/gel is available at all pharmacies and works well. - Jun 2014
