What do people who suffer from environmental or food allergies need to know?
Food allergy accommodation is not common in Romania. If you have something like a peanut allergy, I would not trust a restaurant to be able to guarantee a nut-free meal. Being a vegan is not a thing in Romania. - Jun 2023
The EU has good laws about allergen information on foods, and Romania follows them. If you or family members are allergic to nuts, I'd definitely take the time to learn the words for each specific nut because they are not cognates. I'm not sure about seasonal allergies. - Mar 2019
