Manila - School Report Question and Answers

Aside from school fees, are there required expenses such as uniforms, laptops/tablets, musical instruments, or field trips that parents are expected to cover? What are the approximate costs?

There are uniforms, but we've been online since we got here so there was no use for them except for yearbook photos and band recordings occasionally. Even now it is possible to rent instruments, I've heard through band class, but I had my own so I don't know the specifics. Yearbooks cost about the same as in a US school, they seem really high quality, they are mostly created by students. - Sep 2021

Parents are responsible for the following: 1) Uniforms - Must be bought from the school store but are comfortable and cost much less than other postings we have had. 2) Musical Instrument rental 3) Laptops are required starting in grade 7 4) Some after-school activities ISM does not incorporate things like field trips, year books and many after-school activities into the tuition. - May 2017

Yes. The uniform is not very expensive, but it is separate from other school fees. Students can buy lunches or bring their own. The cafeteria is big and offers a variety of choices (including vegetarian). - Jan 2016
