Manila - School Report Question and Answers

How is the overall communication between teachers and parents, and the administration and parents? How is communication facilitated?

A lot of teachers send out regular emails, most administrators are free to be contacted and are responsive. The principals send regular emails regarding school activities as well as things like the school newspaper. - Sep 2021

Communication is definitely a dance. There are weekly newsletters from each level of school and core teachers usually send out a weekly update. If you read everything then you will know all that is going on but it can be overwhelming. - May 2017

"A" Depending on the teacher, but usually it's great. - Jan 2016

A: Excellent. This is by far the best school we've attended with regards to communication. The school has a portal set up that is similar to facebook, and teachers post daily information and even photos of what the class is doing. I have easily contacted teachers during school days via e-mail, and there are the parent/teacher meetings, reports sent home (actual paragraphs written about your child's progress, not just a checkmark), and monthly coffee mornings. - Mar 2014

B. The teachers give out their email addresses to the parents. They blog about their classes, on their own time. My son's teacher did it about weekly. I didn't get the level of communication regarding my son's learning that I would have preferred, but I didn't ask either. - Aug 2013
