Kingston - School Report Question and Answers

What fine arts electives are available (music, drama, visual arts)?

The school does have a great arts program - music, dance, and visual arts - but it's not elective, all the children do all of them. I can't sing the praises of the arts teachers highly enough. They're all great, and even though my son is not particularly artsy, he's really developed in all these areas. He learned to play piano in one semester - just sat down at our home piano and started playing. It was great. The down side is that it takes up a lot of the children's time and makes the schedule very complicated: the schedule has been on an eight-day rotation for two years now, which is very confusing and hard to track, and when parents have asked to go back to the four-day rotation, the school refused. - Sep 2023

There is dance, soccer (football), tennis, and lego, available after school. - Mar 2017

Yes, there are wonderful music, theatre and visual arts programs. I am stunned by the talent of the kids at Hillel. My child took dance for awhile and loved it! - Jun 2016

A. AISK has an excellent creative arts program, my child had weekly art, music, and drama classes as part of the curriculum. The school provided several opportunities for students to participate in concerts and plays during the school year as well as lunch time talent shows. - May 2016
