Is the amount and type of homework generally appropriate for the age and grade of the students?
In practice, this varies widely depending on the teacher. My children have had some classes in which they were inundated with homework, some in which the amount was quite reasonable, and classes in which they never seemed to do much of anything in or out of class. - Jun 2026
It seems to be. My older child is in an early/middle primary grade and has about 30 minutes worth of homework most evenings. I wouldn't want there to be much more than that. - Jan 2015
