Mexico City - School Report Question and Answers

Do expatriate students socialize with local students at the school? Are both groups successfully integrated into the school culture?

Very little. - Oct 2020

No - May 2016

Yes. Our kids have lots of friends. Mexico city is very big and sometimes that can be a huge issue. trying to attend bd parties or playdates when families are spread all over town and traffic is a pain. So I urge my kids to socialize at the clubs after school and occasionally playdates unless the kid lives in the neighborhood. Many people get drivers for this reason. Most of my kids' friends are international expats but they each do have a few good Mexican friends too. - Jan 2016

It depends upon where you live. This is a huge city with horrible traffic so children tend to socialize with others in their neighborhoods or on weekends. - Jun 2014

Eventually they do but it takes time - language barrier. - Jul 2011
