Vientiane - School Report Question and Answers

How would you rate the school's support and welcome/integration of new students and their families, and why?

Really excellent. I think my favorite part of VIS is its sense of community. It's just a very welcoming place, and its the kind of school where the kids want to go to school. There are always areas for improvement, but the school's support/welcome/integration of new students is excellent. Our kids were comfortable from the very beginning. - Jun 2021

Excellent. VIS has excellent leadership that has crafted a welcoming and inclusive environment that made our kids - and us - feel at home. - Sep 2020

The director believes that since VIS is a small school there is no need to help families with transition, in my opinion. - Oct 2017

The school has expats, embassy children from all over the world, locals and some kids from NGOs. This school is very familiar with children who move frequently and have built in accommodating ways to help kids adapt to new settings. - Jan 2016
