LICS does a good job keeping parents informed via email. They utilize mass email for all parents. Teachers could do more to engage parents more often than parent-teacher meetings. We had one teacher who routinely updated parents. However, most teachers did not engage with parents until the 10 minute parent teacher meeting, where there is not much space for engagement and in-depth discussions. There were a few teachers who I really felt were open to more discussion and engagement. Most seemed to not want to be bothered. - Aug 2026

Very poor. I believe the primary side has better communication, but it is poorly handled in the secondary side. There is a newsletter and the school relies on parents reading that. The school uses Managebac for everything, homework, formatives, summative and report cards. But since everything is there, teachers are not encouraged to include details. Unless you sync your calendar with Managebac, you need to check every other day to see what work is due. There are no task sheets or information provided for summative, which makes it difficult to help your child study and when the grades are placed, there is no feedback so you are unsure what went well or what needs improving upon. - May 2019
