What is the overall climate: is it extremely hot or cold, wet or dry, at any time of year, for example?

Hot and humid most of the year. In January, with Harmattan, the weather cools down a bit and there is less humidity in the air. There are two rainy seasons - one that starts around May and another later in the year around November. Some people here find the humidity annoying (bad hair days!), but the moisture in the air seems to do wonders for your skin. There is sunshine almost 365 days a year - fabulous! - Jan 2009
