How do you send and receive your letters and package mail? Are local postal facilities adequate?

We use pouch and DPO. Some of the BP families use some shipping services, so there are options if you aren't an American diplomat. - Jun 2021

We just got DPO downstream from Tbilisi. It still has some kinks, but they are being worked out. We also still have pouch. I don't know of anyone who has used local mail. - Jan 2019

Baku is currently a pouch-only post (Li batteries can be problematic). We never used the local postal facilities. - Jul 2018

Mail goes through the embassy. 2-3 weeks minimum. - Aug 2010

We have pouch service. You pay postage only for items less than a pound. Items over a pound there is a pouch fee. - Sep 2008

International mail takes about 3 weeks from the U.S. - Sep 2008
