Yes. The English-language newspapers are pretty bad. Many embassy personnel have either AFN or the local cable. Local cable is pretty cheap (maybe $20 a month?). There are a number of English channels (CNN, BBC, National Geographic, Travel). - Sep 2010
There are no English-language newspapers that I know of. Cable is $80 or so a month. AFN is here, but it is on Europe time, so we get everything 3 hours later. - Aug 2010
