Do you have any recommendations regarding mobile phones? Did you keep your home-country plan or use a local provider?
I would start off with a prepaid card, if money management is your concern. It is really easy to run up a very large phone bill. Greeks love to talk , but if they know you are about to run out of your minutes, it is easier to say, I've got to let you go now, my card is about to run out. Also, you may want to note that when you call someone you get charged, not when they call you. - Aug 2006
