English-language newspapers and TV available? Cost?

Yes, the local papers are in English. Some people use AFN and some get South African satellite TV (DSTV) which runs about US$85 a month. - Jul 2013

On compound you can get AFN. Not sure about any others, as we didn't use it. We only used Apple TV. - Jun 2013
