I was able to order things as I needed from Amazon. Do bring your own blankets and towels. The welcome kit was horrible. Also bring your favorite DVDs. The Embassy provides a TV but no TV service. Getting my D number (temporary resident number), opening a Norwegian bank account, and having someone from the cable company come to my place took a long time. - Dec 2016

Maybe a few comfort food items from the USA, but generally everything is available here, though at a cost. I do my shopping for big-ticket items in the UK or elsewhere. - May 2013
