Kansai people are pretty down to earth, practical, and funny, comparatively. You can get to a lot from Osaka-Kobe: Kyoto, Nara, Himeji, Hiroshima, etc., are all within an hour or so. Lake Biwa is close and beautiful get away in summer or winter. There are many onsens and sentos around. - May 2026
