What typical restaurants, food delivery services, and/or takeout options are popular among expatriates?
The department store basement gourmet markets are the best for takeaway. Restaurant take out and Uber eats exist but is not available at many places, so options are limited and the markup on price is noticeable. I have found that Indian food seems the most easy to order on Uber eats. Pizza delivery is also available but rather pricey. - May 2026
Japanese food is plentiful and good. Pizza delivery options are not great - expensive compared to the US. We have Italian, Indian, Korean, and Chinese restaurants nearby. - May 2021
Lots of really good local food, good French and Italian food. American fast food (McDonald's, KFC) is available if you really want to eat it. - Oct 2013
Most available: McDonald's, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Dominoe's, Starbuck's, Subway. No Burger King. - Aug 2006
