Yes. Trains and busses are plentiful, well connected, punctual and affordable. They are just crowded. Taxis are much more expensive than other East Asia cities like Taipei and Seoul. Uber and GO Taxi ride hailing apps have made it somewhat easier to get a ride from the suburbs. Though it is still challenging to hail one in the early morning and making an advance taxi reservation is suggested. - May 2026
