Are qualified veterinarians and/or good kennel services available? Do animals need to be quarantined upon entry to the country? Are there other considerations regarding pets that are particular to this country?
We don't have a pet but it's my understanding that there are decent vets available. Malaysia being a majority Muslim country, many apartments don't allow dogs so if you bring a dog, your housing options may be more limited. - Apr 2025

We don't have pets, but have several friends that brought pets here. I believe quarantine was required. One friend's cat was in need of significant vet care after coming out of quarantine but is doing okay now. - Apr 2017
