What is the availability and cost of household help, and what types of help are typically employed by expatriates?
EUR prices. as of January 2026, we are paying our helper almost $70 USD for four hours (half day). I have heard that some pay more and that hiring local nannies is expensive; plenty of Embassy kids are willing to occasionally babysit. - Jan 2026
