What is the relative size of the expatriate community? How would you describe overall morale among expatriates?

It is common for families of Direct Hire Americans to take SMA and live in the US while the employee resides alone in Matamoros due to the school and security situations. Morales seems good among those of us who have chosen to live at post. Post has some get togethers - which improves morale by building relationships among community members but we really do not socialize together as much as I would like.
