What is the overall climate: is it extremely hot or cold, wet or dry, at any time of year, for example?
Hot and humid for a good portion of the year. Hurricane season is June to October. November through February is pleasant. Temperatures can be down in the high 70s/low 80s. When it's down in the 70s local staff are wearing coats and complaining about freezing. - Jun 2026

The weather is tropical, with a rainy season lasting from summer to late fall. Tropical storms are always a threat in season, and Belize City has been heavily damaged several times by hurricanes. Belmopan is 50 miles inland and fares better. Flooding is the most serious problem all over the county. - Jan 2011
