Are there problems with ethnic, race/racial minorities or religious prejudices? Gender equality?

Subtle racism exists, and there are many who still have traditional views on gender roles. That said, Brazil is a very diverse country and does better than many other cultures at accepting different races/religions. Women generally work, similar to in the U.S. - Jun 2014
