Are local buses, trams, trains or taxis safe and affordable?
Toronto has a great public transit system that is very safe and affordable. I would recommend using public transit instead of a car, since traffic is bad here. Taxis are safe but expensive. - Jan 2011

There is a bus system that is affordable and somewhat efficient, when they are not on strike. There was a lengthy strike while I was posted to the embassy and many employees spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars on taxis to get to work. - Oct 2009
