What is your home city/country? How long is the trip to post from there, with what connections? How easy/difficult is it to travel to this city/country?

USA to Tennessee. Typically 18 hours or so in each direction. Flights are generally on schedule and transit airports (within the EU) are good. - Mar 2024


Washington, D.C. There are no direct flights from the U.S. to Sarajevo. The most common routes are IAD-->VIE-->SJJ on Austrian Airlines, IAD-->FRA-->SJJ on Lufthansa, or IAD-->IST-->SJJ on Turkish Airlines. Travel time is about 13 hours. In the winter, flights are often cancelled from Sarajevo due to fog/air quality, so be prepared to get rescheduled a few times. - Apr 2021

DC - around 13.5 hours,connecting through either Munich or Vienna. Primary flights in and out of Sarajevo are through Munich, Vienna, Istanbul and Zagreb. There are serious difficulties getting in and out in the winter due to very heavy fog over the airport. - Nov 2012
