Vladivostok - Post Report Question and Answers

Are there any particular health concerns? What is the quality of available medical care? What medical conditions typically require medical evacuation?

See above. Local medical care improved dramatically after the building of the medical center on Russkiy Island in 2015, which employed quality professionals and advanced equipment. There was also a European medical clinic that opened in 2015. Major issues would require a medical evacuation, but you can at least expect proper diagnosis and stabilization/preliminary treatment locally. - Jun 2017

Lots! For anything worse than a cold you should be medevac'd to Korea. - Apr 2012

My biggest 'health concern' is surviving as a pedestrian. The sidewalks are very iffy (when there are sidewalks). Many places don't even have them. The town is very pedestrian-unfriendly. I don't know much about medical care here, since we didn't really need to use it much. I know MRIs and bloodwork are available. - Jun 2009
