Zagreb - Post Report Question and Answers

What is your home city/country? How long is the trip to post from there, with what connections? How easy/difficult is it to travel to this city/country?

U.S. There are still no direct flights from the States to Zagreb (only to Split and Dubrovnik), so you'll be connecting somewhere in Europe (there are a number of options). Total itinerary from the East Coast is around 14 hours or so. - Jan 2023


Lived in Washington, D.C., prior to moving to Zagreb. From there, travel time (with layovers) can take anywhere from 15 to 20 hours. Unfortunately Zagreb does not have direct flights from the U.S. yet. - Jul 2018


Washington, DC. Connections via Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Heathrow. Total travel time approximately 12 hours if all goes as planned! - Apr 2016


There are a fair number of decent options for getting back to the U.S. from Zagreb with connections via Paris, Frankfurt, Munich, and London among others. Zagreb to Arizona was about 20 hours of travel time including layovers. - Aug 2014


Home is in Florida and it is usually two layovers - DC or Atlanta and then somewhere in Germany or Paris and then to Zagreb In all it usually takes about 15 hours or so. - Jun 2014

I'm from a small town called Auburn California. Usually from Zagreb, we would get up at around 3 in the morning and take a flight to Frankfurt, then a connecting flight to either Washington D.C. or Chicago and then a third connecting flight to Sacramento. - Oct 2010
