What is the typical dress code at work and in public places? Is formal dress ever required?

Work dress code is similar to the U.S.: suits/ties, formal work clothes. Slovenians are outdoors people, so non-work clothes are quite casual, but remember it's Europe so not flip-flops casual. - Mar 2026
