Is it easy to make friends with locals here? Are there any prejudices or any ethnic groups who might feel uncomfortable here?
Slovenians are very friendly and welcoming. However, some long-time expats and local friends note that old nationalistic sentiments and newish anti-immigrant sentiments linger. There are reports of discrimination against ethnic minorities including Roma, and against the LGBTQI communities.
