What are the particular advantages of living in this city?
Beautiful beaches and great weather (outside of hurricane risk). People speak English and are generally friendly. - Jun 2015
This is "overseas light". Anyone who isn't comfortable getting very far from the U.S. or needs a culturally easy tour to recover after a difficult assignment would be OK here. Driving, shopping, groceries/brands, TV/radio/internet, electricity, church, currency and language are all lesser challenges here than at most other post. - May 2015
The beaches are very nice and you're never more than a 10 minute drive from one and often you can walk to one. The close proximity to the United States makes it easy to get out of here and to attend to things in the U.S. Some people do all of their doctors and dentist appointments in the U.S. - Jan 2011
