Are there personal security concerns to be aware of at this post? Please describe.
I felt very secure in Cyprus, there is very little violent crime, burglary, etc. I would watch my pockets downtown and not leave anything obvious sitting on the seat of my car. Common sense should suffice. - Aug 2022
Petty theft happens mostly around the beach, so keep an eye on your bags when in the water. Other than that Cyprus is pretty safe. - Aug 2022

Very, very few. I never encountered any crime myself and have never heard a complaint from other expats. I would have to say it's much safer than your average U.S. city. - Dec 2009
