Hermosillo - Post Report Question and Answers

Are there any particular mental health issues that tend to crop up at post, such as Seasonal Affective Disorder (winter blues)?

You can feel a little bit "trapped" here and others have complained about this. Outside of the border, there are only two destinations to where we can drive. Besides that, all travel must be done by plane which as mentioned early isn't as easy or simple as you'd hope. It hasn't bothered me but I know that it gets to some people. - Jun 2023

Is there a such thing as HAD, as in I've HAD it with this heat? I play golf year round, but this often means playing in 110 degrees in the summer. It is hot on the months before and after summer (let's say April-May and Sept-Aug) but bearable. The rest of the year is very pleasant. - Sep 2022

No, Hermosillo is very hot. While there is a "winter/cooler" season here, it's a pretty sunny place to live. - Sep 2022

None, other than Hermosillo is a very closed, hierarchical society separated by the haves and have-nots. USG employee does not equal acceptance in many circles. It can be VERY isolating. - Aug 2022
