Are there any unusual problems with insects or other infestations in housing?

If the houses are well sealed than no. However, there is a certain insect that lives on pigeons, and they can enter the houses through unsealed attic spaces. All embassy housing has been treated, and preventative measures have been enforced with all landlords. - Dec 2025

Not that we've experienced. In fact, there's been a noticeable absence of insects in our house. No ants, no mosquitos; some large flies come in seasonally, but not biting flies. - Apr 2021
