What is the availability of international schools? What has been your general experience with them, if any?
The Florence International School. I haven't heard any complaints about it other than it's a bit of a jaunt outside of town. There is a school bus that takes kids to school. - Aug 2015
The International School of Florence has had mixed reviews over the years, but has changed administrations and I have a good feeling that it will be more academically challenging and better organized in the future. Note: at least a third of the students are locals, so it is a not totally international (read: American) feeling, though all classes are in English. - Sep 2007
