What is the typical dress code at work and in public places? Is formal dress ever required?

In public places locals are mostly more conservative, but foreigners do anything. - Nov 2022


Biz casual Of course there are times to wear more business suits for meetings etc and balls and formals for even more formal stuff. Mostly it’s hot and sweaty and suits aren’t great for that. - Jul 2022

Usually Business casual at work for most folks - short sleeve polos or even Hawaiian shirts (on Fridays) aren't uncommon. Political Officers going downtown are in full suits. - May 2020
