Are preschools available? Day care? Are these expensive? What has been your experience with them, if any? Do the schools provide before- and/or after-school care?

Preschools are available, but as the paid parental leave in Estonia lasts for one and a half years, day cares don't take kids under that age, usually. - Jun 2017

Yes, but maybe not in English. - Sep 2016

Preschools are widely available. ISE has a good preschool program (my son went through it). It is more academic than most. - Jan 2013

Estonian preschool is quite good from what I hear. - Oct 2012

There are several Russian-speaking and Estonian-speaking preschoosl / daycares. ISE (International School of Estonia) has English-speaking classes for these age groups, but it's extremely expensive and a bit chaotic. - Oct 2012

I've heard good things about preschool here. There is an international daycare that comes highly recommended, but if you want to expose your little one to a different setting, there is a Russian school/daycare option. - Sep 2010
