Are qualified veterinarians and/or good kennel services available? Do animals need to be quarantined upon entry to the country? Are there other considerations regarding pets that are particular to this country?

Yes, about the same as you would expect in the United States. No quarantine, but check with your sponsoring office for official paperwork to bring with you upon entering Canada. Strict pet registration and license rules with the city are in effect. - Jun 2018
