Are credit cards widely accepted and safe to use locally? Are ATMs common and do you recommend using them? Are they safe to use?

Yes. In fact, contactless payment is the only option in many places. It's a good idea to carry just a bit of cash, but you will only have to use it once a month or less. - May 2023
