Is high-speed home Internet access available? How long does it typically take to install it after arrival?

Internet is available, affordable, and usually hooked up at arrival. It's fast enough to run all your streaming services and use video chats. It does occasionally drop, but not usually for long. - Oct 2020

Prices and service are so much better that what they were just a few years ago. Most people put up with Gabon Telecom paying US$80 per month for 4mb service. 8mb is also available....at least that's what you pay for, actual speeds can vary wildly. Ipi9 is a satellite internet service that is slower, but another option. - Jul 2014

Internet was improving right as we left. Gabon Telecom is the most popular with horrible service. Speeds are available up to 4mbs when it works. IPI9 is a new satellite Internet company just coming online. We paid about £75 for 4mbs per month with Gabon Telecom. - Oct 2013

Expensive like $200 per month. The only good fast internet is Gabon Telecom. The others are satellite and they are not fast enough to SKPYE or watch videos. - Apr 2012

High-speed? Not really. Internet service was unreliable and expensive. Frequent power outages often meant no internet. - Aug 2011

Internet is available, but calling it high-speed is stretching it. Its expensive. - Jul 2010
