Cape Town - Post Report Question and Answers

What have been the highlights of your time in this country? Best trips or experiences?

Seeing many different parts of the beautiful country--Table Mountain, the Garden Route, Durban, the Stellenbosh and Franscheok winelands, etc. Too many places to see in a short two or three year tour. - Aug 2021

Literally everything- beaches, hiking, restaurants, safaris. - Apr 2021

We love camping and there are hundreds of farm cottages and campsites within a few hours' drive of Cape Town that rival the best outdoor experiences anywhere in the world. The rest of South Africa is a jewel with more to experience than you'll ever have time for. We would not want to miss the Cederberg Mountains if coming here! - Feb 2018

Safaris all over southern Africa. Driving the Cape peninsula and soaking in the natural beauty. Whale watching in the Overberg. Visiting botanical gardens, such as Kirstenbosch. - Oct 2017

Living in Cape Town is one long highlight. Not enjoying oneself on the weekend is generally a conscious choice. Hiking or playing rugby when it was nice and going to food and wine festivals when it was crummy. The restaurant and food market culture was especially good. - May 2014

The Cape Town area is stunningly beautiful. The sun on the hills, glinting off the old Cape Dutch farmhouses and among the rows and rows of grape vines cannot be adequately described. Even after living here for a year, it still amazes me as I am driving to the grocery store or to pick up the kids from school. - Aug 2013
