Do you have any recommendations regarding mobile phones? Did you keep your home-country plan or use a local provider?
We have a local provider SIM and a VOIP e-sim (with my U.S. number) on a dual-SIM iphone. I brought an unlocked iphone bought in the U.S. and it's been fine. - Mar 2022

Everyone carries one, called a 'handphone' here. Service providers are Singtel and Starhub. We use Starhub, but probably not much difference. - Dec 2008
