Is this a "shopping post"? Are there interesting handicrafts, artwork, antiques, or other items that people typically buy there?

You can buy very nice silver items from Tuareg traders. Many people purchased cloth and had clothing made by local tailors. There are frequent craft fairs organised by the CLO, and events at schools in the city around Christmas to allow the expat community to buy wooden carvings, cloth items and silverwork. - Apr 2020
