What kind of vehicle(s) including electric ones do you recommend bringing to post, given the terrain, infrastructure, availability of parts, burglary/carjacking risks, etc.? What kind of car or vehicles do you advise not to bring?
We had a compact luxury SUV we only used about once a month. We never parked it anywhere besides our secured compound garage or at the embassy on rare occasion. Looking back we would've been fine renting a car to take on our monthly road trips with the dogs. There were a serious of break-ins/minor destructive behavior againsts Porsches. - Aug 2026
