Do you have any recommendations regarding mobile phones? Did you keep your home-country plan or use a local provider?

Bring your own unlocked phone. You can get a local sim card through the embassy if you work there. I didn't find it to be too badly priced and i could pay my bill on the internet. Be aware that cancelling your service can be a pain and they will keep trying to bill you long after you are gone. - Jul 2020
