How much of the local language do you need for daily living? Are local language classes/tutors available and affordable?
Speaking English makes things easier. Many people from Brazil or South America barely speak it, though, because everywhere you go you meet people speaking Portuguese or Spanish. It is very easy and affordable to find a tutor like 50/60 USD per hour. I recommend taking classes before moving here. - Mar 2026
