How much of the local language do you need for daily living? Are local language classes/tutors available and affordable?
You need to learn food words and directions. Fewer Brazilians speak English here than in other cities, but I don't find it too hard to navigate daily tasks. I assume private tutors would be cheap, because wages are low here. - Apr 2025
