What is the overall climate: is it extremely hot or cold, wet or dry, at any time of year, for example?
The climate is glorious. It is generally between 70 and 80 degrees every day. There is a rainy season (May - October). - Mar 2023
There's a wet season and a dry season. Otherwise the temperatures are mild throughout the year. A day that hits 80F is hot. A day that hits 65F is cold. Wet season is not like a monsoon. It might rain once a day for a few months, but it doesn't rain for days on end. You always get breaks in the rain. If you enjoy seasons, this is not an ideal place. If you thrive in moderate weather, you'll love it. Overall, most days get some sun. - Oct 2022
The summer months are very, very rainy. And by April it feels very hot. Houses/apartments almost never have AC, so you may want to bring your own portable unit(s). The temperature is temperate, within the same 20 degree range year-round, day and night, but it can feel dramatically different if it's sunny vs. cloudy due to the altitude. - Oct 2022
Guatemala is called "Eterna Primavera" which means eternal spring because the weather here is always perfect. Never hot nor too cold. The only thing is they do have a heavy rainy season usually May through July. Expect rain every afternoon during this time, but it only last an hour if that at a time.
